Financial Planning Remuneration Review

Purpose


The Financial Planning Remuneration Review is a survey aimed at providing participants with detailed information and an understanding of the components of reward for financial planners. The survey provides comprehensive salary and incentive information on a broad range of key consulting, technical and support roles within the financial planning market.

The positions outlined in the survey include:

Financial Planner (high networth clients)* Product Development Manager

Levels of Membership

You have the choice of two levels of membership tailored to your organisation's needs.

Level 1:
For: banks, insurance companies and larger financial planning groups who typically employ more than 10 financial planners as well as staff to support financial planners in marketing, business development, and technical roles. These companies may also develop their own products.

Features:
Broad position coverage of key consulting, technical and support roles within the financial planning industry.
Annual personalised report - comparing your pay data and incentive plan design with the market as well as an update on key issues and trends that are affecting the financial planning industry.
A second report provided prior to your annual review so that you have current information at your convenience.
Access to a real time database with the latest information on salary levels.
Telephone update service that allows you to review pay levels for various positions surveyed or to seek additional clarification of the data and trends on incentive design.

Level 2:
For: niche financial planning companies who typically employ less than 10 financial planners and sell other companies' products. These companies are responsible for their own business development.

Features:
The survey will cover Financial Planners, Paraplanners and the Head of Financial Planning.
Annual report highlighting market trends in incentive design and comparing your pay data to the rest of the market.
Telephone update service giving you access to a real time database which allows you to review pay levels for the above financial planning positions.

Data Collection

We have designed a simple data collection process. In this process you can provide us with your current remuneration information whilst on-line or download the questionnaires to be completed at your convenience. We can also provide you with a user-friendly and simple floppy disk as an alternative to the salary data collection. Both processes ensure complete confidentiality by providing passwords (specified by the individual user) on all questionnaires.

Annual Report

Your organisation's membership to the survey will provide you with a comprehensive annual report highlighting market pay levels and information on the design principles of the incentive scheme. The report is personalised so that you can compare your current pay levels with the market.
